Urban Reign's attack and defense system is simple and comfortable. The more damaged they are, the more damage the character gets when hit in that specific sector. The character's parts are colored differently depending on how much damage they have received: Green is OK Yellow is Hurt Red is Broken.
This "Body Diagram" lets you know what the status of each body part is and also gives an idea of what each player should do For Example : The player that has his/her head heavily damage will realize that he/she has to defend more that zone, and his/her rival will focus his/her attacks on the head. The character's health is represented with the typical Health Bar and with a diagram of each sector of the body, being divided in three parts (Head, Upper Body, Lower Body). GameplayUrban Reign presents a unique style of gameplay, and when you get the hand of it, it's really satisfying. You fight your way through the streets of Green Harbor, a fortified city in the U.S., and as you do so, the true background of this whole thing reveals itself. To wrap it up, Urban Reign is a furious and powerful beat-'em-up game which requires total control, only to be degraded by it's naturally challenging story mode.PlotIn Urban Reign you take the role of Brad Hawk, a brawler who is hired by the leader of the Chinese Gang to find a kidnapped gang member.
Should you have a PS2 Multitap and four controllers, you and three friends can duke it out for hours on end! Of course, if you have a friend, you can go 2-on-2 against the opposing computer team. You can have a simple 1-on-1, or a full-blown three or four player battle royale with computers. The multi-player mode however, is where the game really shines. Who knew you can develop such skills in this simple brawler? Though the difficulty may get rage-inducing, it is a game that really tests your skills with patience, reaction, and tactics. Even in "Normal" difficulty mode, this game will royally screw you over. While the story mode is just 100 missions of beat-'em-up frenzy, it's nothing that you can just ignore. is nothing short of brutal moves and rib-busting punches that will truly flip you upside down -while you are still on your seat. Urban Reign, another under-appreciated game forgotten from the PS2 universe. you will not go wrong with this game is is a true gem!)Įither You Pack A Punch, Or It Punches You. You dont have it (the only real con, your reading this review on ebay, so you must be looking to buy it.
Would like to have a create a character function but thats not really a con either its just a personal preference
Sometimes your opponent will pull a long chain of moves and holds on you as the match draws close to an end.which can be a pro or a con It seems to have unlockable content however i am not fare enoughĪrea specific damage meters as featured on smackdown however with only 3 sections "head, upper body, lower body" This is a 1-4 player game if you have friends this will be a great experience. This game is difficult enough to make it even more fun! holds can be broken by other enemies This game is amazing, if you love wrestling games, def jam games, or any fighting games you will love this game.this game is a beatem up style game where you are allowed to grapple your opponent and deliverer many real and a few unrealistic wrestling moves such as the "chokeslam, tombstone piledriver, stonecold stunner, ddt, ect" while still allowing you to execute brilliant fighting techniques, reversals, counters, and also weapon combat.
